I do coverups, and honestly fuck that guy you talked to. Find an artist that does custom. I’m in Ontario, not sure where you are but if your close Dm me - looking at this it’s suuuuper easy to fix. The rose is fixable and the lace is fixable. I know what it’s like to have something you that’s permanent that you absolutely hate and that’s why I’ll cover things and give my honest opinion. If it wasn’t fixable I’d say one sesh of laser and then mask it but seeing this it’s definitely fixable. Amp up the white to bring up the dark on the lace and fine tune everything and then white in the skull and red and black to fix the rose. A lot of artists just don’t want to deal with coverups because it takes a lot of creativity and execution that that don’t wanna do.. it’s a job that requires patience and care and some of these guys wanna slap you with a design on fresh skin and call it a day. Sadly there’s others that have no idea what they’ll do to fix it and sit there scratching their heads. Coverups don’t come easy to everyone. Even a “reputable” tattoo artist. Keep looking until you find one but please make sure it’s someone that does do coverups. Not just any artist.
