34 and single. I had quite a good run (IMO) from age 20 to around 26. One serious relationship, one not-so-serious, couple of steady FWBs and about a dozen ONSs (humblebrag). Then I was under-employed and went through a phase of depression and alcoholism. 7 years of dry spell.

I am in a better place now and would like to have a partner, but I am too used to being on my own and satisfied with it. I hooked up with an ex coworker last year and it was phenomenal, but she is married (bad marriage, they're just together for the kid) and we're both not ready for anything serious. I guess being single for so long has raised my expectations, and there is nothing "wrong" in my life per se to make me reconsider these expectations and make a compromise.
