Smart drugs use at USYD?

I am well aware of Ritalin prescription works. It's a schedule 8 drug, which is why I said in the first place that many people are prescribed it rather than just obtaining it from friends. As distributing an S8 drug is high illegal.

"Advising against" medication would be variable among practitioners. Many certainly do prescribe it readily, considering it would be unusual that your symptoms are bad enough to warrant psychiatric referral but not bad enough to warrant pharmacological intervention. But many recommend conservative dosing and taking "holidays" off the medication.

I have no obligation to disclose my personal medical information to you, or on a public forum. But I certainly have a better understanding of these medications than you, I can assure you of that. Stimulants in low doses have paradoxical "focusing" effects. They certainly can and do stop peoples minds from racing in many cases. If people are getting profound sympathetic effects they are usually taking too much of the medication, or are suffering an adverse drug reaction. Though this is a common side effect when first taking the medication, and often subsides after a week of regular use. Many are advised to take 1/2 the prescribed dose for the first few days when starting.

It doesn't "reward your brain" for completing tasks. But if that is how you want to think about it then go ahead.
