Solid axle VS. IFS

I’m pretty sure 99.99% of people who can afford vehicles don’t fall into this category because they have work 5 days a week year round. I do go on multi-week trips without solar and refrigeration though…hell, that’s how lots of people in the world lived and still currently live.

Again, it’s all subjective though. It sounds like you have very specific definitions that don’t necessarily align with others’, and that’s fine. That’s actually my main point: none of this is official in any way. It would be pretentious for either of us to act like we get to define what overlanding is. It’s getting to be an overused term and Instagram fad tbh, but that’s just my opinion.
