I wasn't aware that I stated anywhere that throngs of innocent people were being killed.

In fact, the article I quoted elsewhere made a very good point that the number of shootings of unarmed people is going down, which is excellent news.

Also, in not sure where you got the idea I was white knighting for anybody.

The dichotomy that if police aren't allowed to kill anyone they decide to, then they can't do anything to anybody ever is false. We should ALWAYS be evaluating or standards, and aiming to be the best we can be.

Innocent people ARE killed by police, and we should be getting to find what went wrong and how to prevent that, not arguing that a couple dozen innocent lives are acceptable collateral.
