It could be that yours has the same issue as mine and binds the core with BOK. Try dumping all the pins except 1 stack and use a BOK. Likely what will happen is you'll pick that one pin and the core will move slightly and then stop for no apparent reason until you remove pressure on the tension wrench completely and then the core will move again. This is how mine presents itself and will be a good indication that this lock is probably going to be limited to using TOK.

I was able to BOK pick mine as the passenger in a vehicle on a long trip once. It was still more difficult than it should have been, and I attribute my success there to the bouncing of the vehicle making me inadvertently bounce the tension. I haven't been able to replicate that outside of a moving vehicle though.
