(Spoilers Extended) DISCUSSION: Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 7: The Broken Man In-Depth Post-Episode Discussion

Overall this is a good ep, but I believe this marks the first time we've gone two weeks without any Tyrion scenes. Is this accurate?

The show has so much going on, and this week introduced us to a completely new plot line - the return of Sandor.

Having said that, I can't help but feel disappointed. Tyrion has quite literally done nothing - that is, literally NOT A THING - since he whacked off Tywin. The scene where he freed the dragons was cool but...has resulted in nothing. The scene where he negotiates with the Masters was okay but...has resulted in nothing. Season Five he was as useless as Brienne wandering the Riverlands in AFFC.

We've come to accept that Dany will do absolutely nothing. Everyone - book or show, or both - has accepted this. But it's tough to watch Tyrion be relegated to doing nothing as well. I felt like D&D advanced his meeting with Dany so we could see something happen in Essos. because literally nothing has happened in Essos since Khal Drogo was whacked off. But no; it's a master plot to ensure that two of the three main characters will do nothing together. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jon Snow head to Essos by season's end so the Three Heads of the Dragon can collectively do nothing.

Fuck, D&D even trolled us with the scene in I think 603 where Tryion literally twiddles his thumbs and asks Grey Worm and Missandei why they don't do anything. Perfect microcosm since Tyrion left Tywin's bathroom. He's a man of action in a place where nothing happens. Season 1-4 Tyrion is in Game of Thrones; Seasons 5-6 it's Waiting for Godot.

Throw us a fucking bone here, seriously. Even if it's stupid. Even if undead Barristan eye fucks Tyrion to death, then reveals he's a Faceless Man sent by the stone men from the Vale for not fulfilling his promise to them. I have no idea. But at least it's something, you guys.
