I'd like to use a hypothetical to express my concerns if I may.

Let's say I suspected someone in my neighborhood was a child moester, but I didn't have any actual evidence to prove it. Would it be ok to create a subreddit to determine whether this person was a pedophile or not? Could I post all of their pictures from social media and ask people to go through it with me for any evidence that this person is a perv? Could I post all sorts of personal info from their lives and their family's lives? Would it change anything if other people also suspected this person of being a pedohile because something about them just didn't add up. Would it still be ok, if the police even came out and said, 'we have no reason to believe this person is a pedohile? I guess I'm just wondering where the moral compass is for all this and how does it guide us the right direction. I wouldn't want to help create a whole community of people who fostered hate and harassment of an innocent person.

This isn't just about accusing someone of commuting a crime. This is about accusing the victim of a crime of being a liar.
