SSR Character Discussion: Beatrix

  • What role does this character fill? Self sufficient attacker, debuffer
  • Who does she synergize well with? Any buffs that comes her way will only help her steamroll. DJeanne's party wide ougi buffs, Olivia's debuffs.
  • What content does this character do particularly well in? She does well in all levels of play since her change.

Now she's finally viable for opening turn one combos. Guaranteed triple attack is especially nice on a character that can cap with one button press.

She's quite tanky, too, with frequent ougis for unchallenged and built in dodge.

  • Any tips on how to best utilize this character? Shore up her MA with Atma sword and one olden Cortana. Cinch her place in your team with a MA boosting main hand like parazonium, hermanubis, or xeno katana on glory.

  • What do you (dis)like about the character? The fact that I feel like a Baha call is wasted on her since she caps after 3 Delta clock stacks.

  • Is she worth using a Surprise Ticket for? Yes. Stupendously strong. I'd be torn between Bea and Djeanne for suptix if I didn't have both already. Turn one cap versus Djeanne's (minor) ramp up? Yes please.

  • Which EMPs would you prioritize? Double enmity nodes, critical, DA. I went with support EMP and DEF to finish up.

  • Beatrix's skills have been completely changed with the September rebalance. How have these updated improved/changed her play in regular use? Former Beatrix users, do you still like her new version? People who did not use Bea in the past for any reason, have these changes affected the way you think about her, in terms of making her more or less appealing? I've always liked the idea of having less buttons to press. New Bea certainly presses a few more buttons than old, but they're still quite infrequent. Get that jammed buff and mash auto. The instant cap makes this new version a winner in my book.
