I disagree, and this is my problem. By definition, by the source material, but the first book that was referred to as steampunk, the technology anachronism is the defining characteristic of what steam punk is.

Mindhunter isn't retrofuturism - mindhunter is the origin of the BAU - this is a fact based show based on historical events - it's a fictional representation but it doesn't present new technologies that didn't exist at the time

SErial Killers aren't anachronisms, they aren't 'futurist', they're something people are fascinated with but they aren't sci fi - they exist...mindhunters isn't 'retrofuturist' any more than the matrix is a non fiction
