You might have reacted as strongly as you did because you are bothered/threatened by some points that the "pro-life" side has and rather than answer them you simply attack the messenger and fixate on some aspect of the tone (taking the idea of violence literally - whatever threadbare excuse you can hang your hat on) to avoid responding to the point - which in this case is that many of your friends, associates, people you admire, etc. would not exist in many cases if abortion was more accessible back in the day. Somewhere in your ancestry was someone who was less than thrilled with their pregnancy. If you could go back in time would you end your own existence? Probably not. I guess in my friend's case though it must be true that maybe he should have been aborted due to his unsavory character (I honestly don't know whether to laugh at you or cry over you) - and if you believe that maybe you could use a thrashing.
