The left is terrible at marketing and messaging. I say that with love, don't get me wrong, but damn does it annoy the piss out of me. Part of that terribleness is inherent in the more grass roots/organic nature of a lot of these movements. Contrary to popular belief, Soros did not, in fact, fund and market test this shit before it went live.

A lot of the recent success on the right is owed in large part to the mass produced, fully funded corporate big $$$ narratives they have perfected through the use of a unified and (unfortunately) efficient mainstream propaganda system. It's hard to convince people to stop eating shit when they've been told over and over again that it tastes so damn good.
