Stories of guys/girls that were interested but you were too oblivious to notice

So back in high school, I was the anti-social computer nerd, problem (sort of?) was, I was also one of the 2 top performing sportsmen (both of us represented our state and country for various sports) at a school of 1600 students (grades 1-12) he got all the attention from girls, was probably ENFP if I was to guess looking back. I was happy to sit down alone during lunch time and code or do geeky things and recharge between classes.

Anyway, one year 4 of us from the one school all made the state cross country team. 2 girls, and the 2 of us guys. Neither of these girls were in my friend group both were friends with the other guy, because I actually knew these people and they weren't complete strangers I tended to hang with them a bit more then others. however one of the girls would walk away with me every time I wanted alone time, instead of stay with them she would go with me, and literally just sit there in silence with me, after the race (15km for boys, 12km for girls, cross country so no roads, lots of hills etc in case you don't have that in the US/wherever your from) we went back to the dorms and were splayed out on the couch watching TV, she put her head on my shoulder and her hand on my thigh, and still I didn't realise, I thought she was just tired from the race so let her do it. on the bus ride home, she sat next to me, did the same thing, still didn't get it. I was not a socially intelligent man back then :( looking back I am totally bummed about that and if I invented time travel, it's one of only 2 moments in my life I would look to change since I had a huge crush on her as well, but never thought anything could happen because she was in a different social group.
