Soulmate

I don’t believe in soulmates because to believe in soulmates, you’d have to believe in souls, and a soulmate is someone you have a deep connection with due to being with them during several past lives, so you’d also have to believe in reincarnation.

But if soulmates were real here are my thoughts on that: People like to say that everyone has a soulmate but I don’t think so. If they existed, I think they’d probably only be reserved for more developed souls (who have a stronger sense of self which the majority of the population doesn’t), and have been through multiple life cycles. Seeing the current state the world is in today, then I think advanced souls would be 0.3% of the population. I would imagine the soulmate to be someone complimentary to you and what one lacks the other person has and vice versa. They’d have the same values as you, but be different enough to make things interesting, and you’d both inspire each other to complete yourselves (overcome your weaknesses).

Anyway we grow up watching Disney movies and fairytales, and reading books where almost everyone is a good person so when we get older we get disappointed when we get hurt and betrayed, and find it hard to meet good people. BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS, ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND: most people are clueless, there are more people who care about looking like a good person than actually being one. Most people have a hard time accepting constructive criticism. It sucks but the reality is that finding someone who is a good person from the bottom of their heart and has a strong sense of identity and self awareness, is difficult. They are rare. But they DO exist, you just need to get out of your comfort zone and try to interact with people more. It’s hard but don’t give up. It’s all about trial and error. Maybe there’s someone out there wishing they had someone like you. And the thing with you introverts is a lot of you don’t even leave the house. I wonder if a dating app for introverts would help.
