The whole system is fucked. The private schools are shit, the public schools are shit. Our entire culture is toxic and poisonous. How do you convince some smug bureaucrat surrounded by government propaganda that he's actually an intolerant fascist and that Muslims aren't anywhere near as special and priceless as we think we are? Nobody wants to hear that shit. They don't want to hear that non muslims have rights too or that the Quran doesn't have the answer 99% of the time. They just want to live in their little bubble of ignorance and not make any effort to break out. People who have that privilege try and try to lend a helping hand but people simply don't want to be helped because it would mean letting go of the arrogant and entitled attitude Pakistan has towards the rest of the world. People need to wake up for themselves and realize that the rest of the world sees us as small and insignificant. Liberal reformers have been trying to reform education in Pakistan for years but either get ignored or fucking shot if what they have to say contradicts some morons child like understanding of Islam. The Jammat I Islami whatever assholes literally have gangs of people who beat up professors at Pubjab University if they try to teach courses like music or philosophy. If you dare to preach the importance of polio shots, or not killing christians or letting girls go to school, you'll get fucking shot.

The entire place is just beyond hope. India is colonizing the fucking moon and crushing the tech space while we squat in our own filth and screech over the meaning of surah's to ourselves. We've dishonored the founding fathers and the entire golden age of Islam. What was once a glorious civilization is now a bunch of slack jawed glassy eyed thugs with ak47s in shoddy pick up trucks. It's all a fucking joke. If Nawaz and co. committed to rewriting every single one of those textbooks, maybe there would be hope. But he won't. Like every other issue, we'll just ignore it and let it fester like a tumor.

It's all trash and all the political engagement and money won't fix it unless people are brave enough to question their own beliefs. Rant over.
