"Cringe" as a shorthand noun for the adjective 'cringe-worthy' may stick. As a slang it has already influenced other languages. In Estonian, for example, we translate it as "kringel", which is a type of delicious pastry (see Google Image Search results). It's a simple near-homophony but it has its own connotations of "cringe" being something related to twisting something into a round pretzel, which probably wouldn't make much sense for English-speakers.
