My fiancé [29M] moved out of our apartment after getting really upset that I [28F] ruined his surprise. Now he wants to work on things.

No, I do, frequently. More often than not he knows what time I'll be home before I've even left the house in the morning. My schedule isn't that varied. But if I'm home late one night because I was visiting my 95 year old grandma and she wanted me to help her with a sewing project, I guess I feel I shouldn't have to worry about my fiancé blowing up if I don't give him a call.

Sometimes people get busy. Sometimes I think, "I'll leave in 10 minutes and be home in 30, I don't need to call" and then those 10 minutes keep becoming 10 more minutes. Or I figure he should be level-headed enough to realize that if I'm not home right when I say I will be, I probably have a good reason.

I'm late without warning maybe once every few months. It's not a common occurrence.
