This is becoming more of a frequent issue. I asked another in the your position, the same others have of yourself, and nothing worked for them either. Besides a bit of waiting and luck.

One thing is true, if a Dash is paused and you kill the app the Dash will still be paused. However, there are bugs with the in-app navigation where at certain times certain buttons don't work for some users. Backing out once or restarting can let you pass those bugs once.

This is all an internal problem. Nothing we can do to try but find a workaround. Given I saw that button being pressed and not doing anything, I think either the network calls behind the button are failing. Otherwise, it's something malicious. Like they disabled the function of that button for a few random minutes.
