I don’t think they’re saying reading is a classist act; I think they’re criticizing the people in this thread who act like everyone on the planet has hours of spare time to read moderate to long texts... and the people who are implying that anyone who takes more than a few hours to read something like Animal Farm is mentally slow or child-like.

On that same note, I’ve also seen a lot of ableism in this thread. Kinda sucks as a leftist with diagnosed ADHD; it takes me several hours to read what most people could get through in a single hour because I’m constantly re-reading and going back to make sure I properly understood something several pages ago.
