Sweden's far-right wants referendum on immigration

Everyone is downvoting you, but I'm going to not downvote and instead ask a question since you seem sincere and concerned. Why don't other Swedish political parties tackle immigration, then? Clearly a lot of people in Sweden are tired of your immigration policies and feel they have no other outlet to express their displeasure or party willing to compromise so they are flocking to far right parties instead. To me that sounds like it's a massive failure on the part of the other parties who are being so uncompromising and stubborn that they are driving people straight into the arms of the only people willing to address this one single issue. Why keep pushing such deeply unpopular policies?

I watched an interview with a refugee or immigrant in Sweden who said something like, "There are no jobs or houses here so why do they keep bringing us here?" And then I saw another one with a Syrian refugee who said, "Syrians shouldn't come here. Our expectations are nothing like reality." And then he complained about his living conditions. When even immigrants and refugees are complaining about your policies I feel like maybe you need to rethink some things... Why is this topic so taboo and controversial in Sweden and all of Europe?

I really don't understand why so many Europeans and European political groups are hellbent on pushing for mass immigration when it's causing such a serious political divide and social tension across the entire EU. And it's far from being only the extreme right that has a problem with this, but since no one else will even address the issue people are beginning to support parties they'd normally despise purely out of desperation. It's pretty scary that people would rather be stubborn and grip tightly to their personal agenda than listen to the will of the people and are willing to tear apart their own countries and political parties rather than compromise on one issue. And instead of even allowing for open debate they call anyone with dissenting views Nazis, fascists, racists, bigots, Islamophobes, xenophobes, etc. - even people on the left who break rank with them on this one issue. Trying to smear the reputations of people in order to suppress debate is not going to solve the situation - it's going to drive them to parties willing to listen and act.

And why is no one talking about the fact that some of the biggest pushers for mass immigration are corrupt bankers? Peter Sutherland, the Chairman of Goldman Sachs, had this to say about "mass" immigration into the EU:

Sutherland strongly advocates liberal immigration policies and mass immigration into the European Union. Sutherland gave his opinion to the UK’s Lords home affairs committee on the 21st June 2012 as being (a) that “at the most basic level individuals should have freedom of choice” about working and studying in other countries and that EU states should stop targeting “highly skilled” migrants (and, conversely, placing restrictions on low-skilled migrants).

Sutherland’s stated opinions on policy were (a) that "it was fundamentally important for states to cooperate on migration policy rather than developing their own policies in isolation as 'no state is or can be an island'"[39] (b) that multiculturalism is both inevitable and desirable: “It’s impossible to consider that the degree of homogeneity which is implied by the other argument can survive because states have to become more open states, in terms of the people who inhabit them” and also (c) that “the European Union, in my view, should be doing its best to undermine” any “sense of our homogeneity and difference from others”.

They are plotting to undermine our "homogeneity" all to push their shitty economic agenda. Why is that not raising a huge red flag for everyone regardless of where they lie on the political spectrum?? And in case everyone has forgotten, [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldman_Sachs#Controversies is a long list of some of GS controversies so you can see how much they don't give a shit about any of us. Furthermore, Sutherland co-authored a paper with TTIP pusher and Swedish EU career politician/Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström in which they had this to say:

Sutherland and Malmström also argue in the above article that “Last year, during the Arab revolutions, the EU missed a historic opportunity to begin weaving together the two sides of the Mediterranean.”

I mean, it seems pretty obvious this is all part of some plan yet no one is willing to even talk about it. They talked about "weaving together the two sides of the Mediterranean" as far back as at least three years ago and here we have that exact scenario happening with this current crisis. The Left typically is opposed to intervention of big banks, but aren't even willing to address the fact that they are the ones pushing for these psychotic immigration policies - the same people who tanked the global economy, push for privatization, personally benefited from bailouts, etc. I feel like this should be a red flag for everyone, but it's not even being discussed.
