And photos too are part of his statement, that a million couples have taken photos from this beach and all take the same picture, all interchangeable, except that each thinks of themselves as special snowflakes and he was trying to make you separate yourself from that, that need to be an individual and here he does it by making you see how much of an individual you truly are, OP. He was also trying to say that the phone controls us, and he was trying to break you free of those chains.
