A Tale of Two Actuaries

Given the typical personalities that the actuarial career attracts, I struggle enough to maintain a functional team as it is.

Exactly. The thing is -- a lot of the people attracted to the actuarial career are there because despite whatever social disadvantages you may have, you can objectively prove your competence by passing exams. This is why you end up with a lot of nerdy kids that have anxiety/other disorders disproportionately (in my opinion lol)

It's literally built to have less subjective social discrimination problems than other careers.

That being said I'm glad there's a Black actuarial org because I haven't seen many of them in the real world, I'm sure that creates unique problems I'm unaware of, but this comic fails to illustrate them well.
