Tesla's Model 3 unveiling leads to huge lineups in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver

I never said it did but with electric motors performance goes down as you go faster where as with an ICE it goes up as torque is more redily available once you get to it. With electric motors you get all that torque upfront and lose it where as with an ICE once you are in the torque band that power is on tap.

That is why 0-60 is so massive but then the rest of the performance is meh and that is my point. People here the 0-60 tag line and ignore the rest. There is also the issue of heat. If you mash the go pedal the range will drastically drop and has you heat up the batteries the Tesla will cripple out put to deal with it.

You may be able to go from 0-60 really fast a few times but not over and over and over.

...how many people do you know who looked at 0-60 performance when buying a car

Apparently when it comes to the Tesla everybody. Look how much this metric is being used here by people who woule NEVER care about it otherwise even if they could afford the car.

This is the beauty of the Tesla marketing machine. They take the one thing they excel at and now that is all the fan boys talk about. People are saying the car performa better due to this which, in reality, they don't.

Watch last night's presentation. Autopilot will be standard on every Model 3 at launch. As per Elon Musk.

I have read the required sensors are but the features are not.

But, if you want what Tesla calls 'convenience features', essentially giving Autopilot cruise control and the ability to self-park, you will have to pay extra. Read more at http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/5-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-tesla-model-3#6zv38rVZ0VRUMpVF.99

Plus lets remember the original Tesla was supposed to be $45,000 and we know what happened there. I would take any claims with a large grain of salt.
