People usually think they're speaking with a benevolent entity. And people ho know how to take the necessary precautions can use such a board ' safely', but it is often done by laymen as a drinking game or teenagers or something

And then the poltergeist activity starts (it doesn't skip the skeptics either btw). It's easy to presume that everyone that reports these experiences are simply not "rational enough", "gullible", "let their mind run way with things". I probably can't convince the skeptics otherwise, but I hate to say I told you so later.
