Top 40 Skylines in the world. With all the complaints about boring architecture in modern Seoul I found this interesting.

I'm not buying it. There's too many variables subjective to personal taste. Gliding through Bangkok on its elevated metro system above and through the numerous skyscrapers and taking in its huge lush trees blended into the city is an amazing experience you don't get from other cities, and the temples along the Mekong are a great day trip to sail around and see. The beautiful Islamic designs infused with modern architecture throughout Kuala Lumpurs mosques and skyscrapers like KL tower and the Petronas twin towers make it as memorable and for its deep and blended diversity like Singapore. Tokyo is so cluttered yet organized and the city pulses in a very sophisticated way. Yoyogi park is an enchanting and ancient forest in the city that really transports you to another era. Taipei 101 to me always looked like a beautiful green gemstone towering over its city, I'm a big skyscraper buff and it's got symbolic consideration and pride in its cultural heritage in many touching ways (I've also always seen it as a middle finger to the mainland). I've lived in Seoul for two years but visited many global cities and Seoul just can't measure up. The public transportation is a league ahead of any others, all the neon is very cool. But aside from building 63 and the yet to be completed lotte world tower (thusly a color that blends exactly with Seoul's flat and often cloudless gray blue sky) the city can be very forgettable. Namsan tower looks like any other space needle knock off around the world. If there's such a thing as a river view, with all its bridges lit up at night, maybe it could be a top 10. Don't even get me started on how embarrassing Han River park is by daylight... Are Koreans scared of full sized trees? What exactly do they think will happen if they don't rope them all together and then a further dozen wooden support poles?
