First off, any fight where you fucking injure the other guy is more useful than getting your own face punched in. Unless your name is Kurtis Gabriel, then it's a net positive for the team if you're unable to play.

And does it really "get the boys fired up" if your only job is to play 5 mins a night + pick an arbitrary fight, and then you can't even do that right? How many players looking for ice time must resent this plug for continuing to take up a roster spot?
