So? Look at sports games on the GameCube or Wii. It being a “sports game” isn’t an excuse to not include modes and have content. Mario golf toadstool tour is a good example.

Yes because of lack of content. Story mode is 1 hour long. Not enough modes. It’s overpriced because not enough content to justify $60.

Irrelevant because we are talking about AAA games on the switch lacking content. Game freak makes Pokémon yes. The switch main line additions of Pokémon have indeed lacked content.
Look, the DLC may have had a rough start but wave 2 redeemed it
We don’t know what the additional waves will be, and besides, you can play all of the dlc with buying it anyway. In my opinion, the courses are either uninspired or recycled from older games
While new horizons may have not had the strongest start, after 2.0 this is a really fucking bold claim
Yeah paying an additional $25 on top of the already $60, and all it is is just happy home designer which already exists on the 3ds. This isn’t a bold claim, new leaf had way more content and new horizons lacks content compared to it.
Star allies only fault is that it didn’t change the franchise in any drastic way. At worst you can say it’s underwhelming.
Star allies did not have many of the things it has now at launch, and Kirby fans had to wait a painstakingly long time to get things that should of been in a $60 game at the start.
splatoon 3
Splatoon 3 feels more like what splatoon 2 should of been imo. It makes a number of welcome quality of life decisions, but besides a new short single player, a lot of it is just splatoon 2. Not many new modes or weapons.
I will continue giving more examples:
Mario strikers: battle league. Go ahead and look up what people have to say on Reddit. Most people complain about lack of content
Super Mario party: same thing. Complaints about lack of content.
Arms: Game playerbase died pretty quickly, were complaints about lack of content
Switch sports: Complaints about lack of content for a $60 game
