Depends. People are complex. Me personally, getting a faang offer did make me happier. It didn’t fulfill everything obviously. But knowing that I was on a path where I wouldn’t have to worry about money (within reason) and having something to show for after almost decades of school did bring me happiness. I don’t even think it’s crazy for me to feel that way.

But you still need good relationships and passions and hobbies and lifestyle and what not to truly be happy imo. I’m in the same boat. Now that I got a faang job, I kinda want an hft job. That desire is still there to do more, get something better. But I don’t feel like a failure. It feels like all this grinding meant something
