Tourists/Visitors/New Residents: Q&A Thread for the week of November 1

Hello!

I'm from Argentina and one of my closest friends is living in Amsterdam since a few months ago and I wanted to gift her, considering that we're really far apart, some sort of "Long-distance Friendship Kit", I don't know if you know them. I want the kit to have envelopes with things to do, so she, whenever doesn't know what to do, can open an envelope and, perhaps, have something to do there. I'm thinking mostly free stuff, visiting a plaza or park, a free museum, walk somewhere, bike somewhere, take a train to visit a close location. She's staying in Almere right now if I'm not mistaken.

What would you suggest as "out of the tours" activities for a weekend for someone living there?

I know coronavirus it's getting harsh there, but it's supposed to be a timeless gift.

Thanks in advance!
