I’m new here! But my 12 y/o son came out of his first one on one bishopric interview and asked me what a long word beginning with m was!!! It took me a while to make sure he meant what I thought he meant!!!

All this after me specifically saying before the interview no chastity questions. I’d just gone through a divorce with my TBM husband who had apparently realised he was gay and had been having multiple affairs for three years. My son knew a little about it and really didn’t need any more sex questions.

The leaders knew all this and still decided to go ahead and ask. I stayed in church for a year longer but really this as the beginning of the end for me!
