TP Watch for next LS Episode

Maybe this sounds sort of conceited, but I don't get why we have this new thing where partners are given early access at all :S

I mainly follow /u/WoodenPotatoes, and a good portion of the appeal is that he's a player experiencing things just like us. I was actually kind of surprised/shocked last patch when I had barely gone through the content on launch day and he already had three videos up detailing everything. Now, I understand that there's a slight monetary aspect to this; early access ensures quick videos, makes certain that approved partners are getting their content out there and aren't competing for views. But the whole appeal of WP is that he's a player like us, and knowing he gets early access cheapens the experience because it's like we're being sold information rather than experiencing it alongside them. I don't mean for that to sound like it influences the content we're getting or like his opinions are being bribed, just that you normally expect the only people to have any information before launch are developers. There's no more "Wow this thing, x, is awesome! I bet WP is scrambling to make a video about it right now!" It's just, oh, there's already three videos up. It's like buying the strategy guide with the game when you were little, before you even played it.

But this is probably overly pedantic and I imagine it's a hell of a lot less of a burden for WP and other creators to make their videos earlier specifically so they don't have to scramble to make videos, or cut into the time playing on their main accounts on patch day. It's a streamlined system that I can only assume brings more good than anything. It's just a shame it sort of brings the authenticity down a little.
