If I was pushed to the point of mental break like that fearing for my own life, I’d fucking double tap those pigs too. A lot of cops I’ve come in contact with think de-escalation is for triggered pussies and old-timers drone on about how much the police are scrutinized “NoW AdAyS” and it blows my mind how those particular individuals turn their heads away from something that could be a matter of life or death.

As a first responder and healthcare provider, it is instilled into us that having empathy and communicating as an advocate for that person is utmost priority not just for the public’s safety, but for our own. That said, there are people who can’t be reasoned with no matter what and pose a threat to themselves or others, but even then there are safe ways to go about restraining with the objective of doing no harm. This guy for sure wasn’t one of them, he could’ve been reasoned with. Just another case of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes.” Shoutout to the very few men and women who join the force and do whatever they can through their own actions to change the system. Believe it or not, they do exist and quite frankly I fucking love those guys.
