But the fact that our government runs billions in deficits every year for decades means in reality nothing is funded.

Again we should stop spending 10x on military than the rest of the world. Repair infrastructure, fund education, etc, etc.

Just making a point that nothing is truly funded, and neither side gives a single shit about deficits and national debt. Until they aren't in power.

For 8 Obama years the GOP screamed about debt while the democrats increased the national debt, but did manage to shrink the deficit a small amount.

Then the GOP takes power and says hold my beer. Now the democrats are screaming about debt, when 10 years ago they were spinning up the money printer as well.
