Trump backs Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines: US President Donald Trump has signed executive orders supporting two controversial oil pipelines.

There are opposition leaders to rally behind with, I am not afraid of the next guy so long as he comes from the opposition parties. So long as the democratic process is restored and the (well, in Venezuela's case, I guess a ) constitution re-established as the law of the land, I am not too worried.

When you have hit rock bottom and have all your rights and liberties stripped, and are forced into living in a deprived state devoid of even basic life necessities, and witness as violence become rampant and an overwhelming part of your life, you are already living in an earthly version of hell. Or something short of that anyway, as the government has not turned their guns onto the civilians as of yet, they seem content in allowing government-sponsored gangs do that instead.

The only way things could get worse for Venezuela aside from a civil war, is if Diosdado Cabello takes power. (Diosdado is power-crazy enough that he might actually start a civil war, and he de facto controls the military) Thankfully, Diosdado is probably the only person in Venezuela more unpopular than Maduro, and even the ruling party is aware of that.
