What are cords? I know what chords are, but I don't see any of those in the tablature that you pointed to. Assuming you mean notes, it would really help if you could let us know what you sound like so we could compare it to the recording you seek to emulate. On a related note, not all of us have Spotify accounts.

It sounds like what you are referring to is known generally as "tone", which is influenced by a whole lot of things, including amp settings, the gear itself, effects, strings, technique, pickups, room acoustics, etc.

If you've got a tone knob on your bass, make sure it isn't rolled off, attenuating your highs, unless you want it that way, which it sounds like you might not in this case. You did say you were very new.
