How do you greet/(console?) a nurse after a workday where they may have dealt with death?

As an EMT, you either get use to it or you don’t and quit. Death is 100% natural and if she went into medicine thinking everyone will live...she’s in for a wake up call.

Just let her vent and get it out of her system. Go for a walk together or do something mundane. Or just let her have her space. It’s just something she’s going to have to work out on her own and accept people will die...especially old people.

But this is important for everyone to do some reading/thinking/learning into because death is something you will come across in life and the more you know about it the less you’ll be blind sided by something you know is coming.
