I’ve beaten the game three times, though am not an expert by any means whatsoever. That said, I beat it with a paladin, an eldritch scion and a sylvan sorcerer. The sylvan sorcerer was the most satisfying of my runs (just finished today). I ran him as a controller, elemental summoner type with a few selective buffs for survival purposes. I focused on enchanting and conjuration (I didn’t take sleep though).

My primary party was Ekundayo, Amiri, Linzi, Octavia, and Tristian. I took defensive rage powers for Amiri, but she wasn’t a tank per se. The pets were probably what you’d consider the tanks, but I play only on normal so take that for what it’s worth. Previous MC runs, I made Octavia my damager controller hybrid with mixed results. By making my MC a controller (pit spells, cloud spells, debuffs) and elemental summoner. Octavia could focus on damage, where she excelled in my party composition.

TL;DR, arcane is hard to go wrong with on a MC, and adding persuasion feats in isn’t hard to do either.
