Bro there are software engineers without degrees.
I majored in accounting then for my first job, started working as SAP FICO consultant. I thought wala ako sa teritoryo ko. Then I found people with a background in accounting who are senior consultants, earning six figures. Some of them became my mentors.
I have also a mentor who started his career in I.T. audit in SGV. Now he is in information security.
Try applying in I.T. consulting jobs. I believe some offer bootcamp or training when you are hired, like sa Accenture, or sa Indra Philippines.
When applying for a job, nakatulong sa akin na may certificate ako in SAP Business One. If may certificates ka like that, magandang imention mo sa HR.
Your degree in accounting is an asset, not a weakness. Show your willingness to learn the I.T. side.
