Two revolutionary cars from different centuries

While all good points, the fact is if you look at something like an Aston Martin stripped of the shell as you would see at a motor show, it has all the same components as the Model T. Radiator out front, engine, gearbox, drive shaft, differential, they're all there. Modern materials and a lot of engineering advances but still it looks much the same. Strip a Tesla of the shell and it looks very different to the T. I found it funny that the early Model S had to have a 'grill' to make it look more normal to people, and even more funny that the Nissan LEAF has gone backwards going from having no grill to now looking very much like the Nissan Pulsar right down to having a grill. Tesla has at least got rid of theirs but Nissan put it back although in both cases it is purely cosmetic. I've noticed more and more cars these days seem to be getting really big grills again after a long period where the grill was being hidden as a way to hide the ancient looking radiator out front of the engine but now we're seeing giant chrome efforts on the front again. Glad Tesla dropped their faux grill, and I like where the Model 3 has ended up. As EVs move forward I hope we can lose even more of the old design forced on us by the structure of the ICEV. An EV doesn't have anything to hide.
