undalk earnings for three hours Euro football are €3.08m, same as winning every domestic league until 2044!

I hate this. Hate hate hate it. Yes, the Irish league needs to raise their prize pool but for pretty much every league that isn't a France/England/Germany/Spain/Italy, and maybe Russia or Portugal, the rewards for European competitions give an uncompetitive boost towards the top teams. Yes, it's nice for a tiny club to get a big reward, but when they can start paying the best players 2 or 3 times more than anyone else in the league it'll just lead to them getting better, both quality wise and financial wise, the latter of which ensures they can keep their quality advantage. Nobody congratulates FC Basel or RB Salzburg or Anderlecht when they increase their financial advantage over the rest of the league. Dundalk is just being congratulated for being half-decent in a tinpot league and getting an incredible advantage over the rest of the teams in the league, an advantage that inevitably leads to monopolies. The dull surprise when FC Basel win the league by 14 points, or when RB Salzburg win by 11 points is the worst phenomenon brought on by the CL/EL and we shouldn't cheer when this thing happens.
