just being perfectly honest, if u r applying to us, humanities ecs like debate might give u a better chance tho u shld just do whatever u r passionate about, they always say that us colleges are always looking for humanists, especially with everyone fighting to go cs. but this wont work for exclusively STEM and tech schools namely MIT, harvey mudd, caltech, gatech, cmu scs

ive seen humanities students get acceptances from us colleges and immediately switch their major to cs, might sound rly unfair for those who have had that passion for math and cs since a long time ago, but it is what it is and no ones stopping u. altho being a girl into cs, stem might be a "hook", i think its generally known that ur chances are better if u r a girl

another thing is they do like ppl who play less popular instruments like clarinet so on which they need in their college orchestra or band, ur j1 already so u can try but its a lil late

volunteering u can try CDAC, arent there a lot of homework clinics and similar programs for u to guide pri sch kids or sec12 kids there, can find on CDAC website, otherwise u can just go call any hospice or old folks home, i think its perfectly fine

but just shotgun lah there r ppl who dun seem to have done as well in their high school yrs but get accepted while extremely qualified applicants get rejected. no one knows what us colleges are thinking in admissions process
