As a Sec 4, I have never memorised examples, yet I have managed to do well. Yes, it is really useful to memorise good examples, but to be honest its really easy to fake them (its basically impossible to get caught because I doubt the markers would take the time to search each and every example from each of like 2,000+ students)
Obviously, this is your choice, if you don't want to take the risk, you don't have to, this is just a suggestion/what I do.
To fake an example (of course you need to make it realistic):
Yes, it really works. But take my advice with a pinch of salt.
