Universal Studio Japan

[–]rainbow_city 3 points 2 days ago*  I went this December. When I'm home I can fill you in on everything, with links, but for now, yes, and as soon as possible. Yes, once you leave, you can't re-enter. Also, do you want to go to Wizarding World? How about other attractions? UPDATE: OK, since you're going to be coming from out of Japan, your best bet to get tickets and express passes is through a travel agency. English ticket site for USJ And for real, if you want to go to Wizarding World, by your tickets a head of time, because your entrance will be first come first serve, so the earlier you purchase, the earlier you get in. permalinksavereportgive goldreply

formatting helpreddiquette save [–]adurian[S] 1 point 2 days ago  I would like to try all of them. Can you further explain about the Wizarding World. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 2 points 2 days ago  The Harry Potter area of the park comes with a separate admission ticket that has a time from when you can enter that area of the park. It's best to get them some time before you go because they often sell out that day (when I went they sold out by the time the park opened). If you get ether the 5 or 7 Express Pass, it'll have the timed entry included, also it'll get you an Express Pass for the one or both rides in the area. Which is good, because the main ride in the castle is a two hour wait on a good day. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]adurian[S] 1 point 2 days ago  is the separate admission ticker similar to the express pass timed entry? permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 2 points 2 days ago  Yes, it's a timed entry ticket, it's free, but it only gets you into Wizarding World, it doesn't give you access to the Express Lanes for the rides. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]adurian[S] 1 point 2 days ago  so once i missed the allocated time, i assume i can't enter anymore permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 2 points 2 days ago  Well, yes,, there's a period of about half an hour that you can enter on your ticket when you get one. And once you leave the Wizarding World, you can't go back in. The thing is, even on weekdays, the timed entry tickets have sold out by the time the park had opened since most people get their tickets ahead of time for this reason. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]adurian[S] 1 point 2 days ago  so it is advisable to go to my local travel agent to get tickets? what about express pass? and should i get the express pass for the cool japan attraction or the 7 or 5 express pass? permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 2 points 2 days ago  My first link has a link to a list of agencies that can sell the tickets, though your agency might be able to get a hold of them. If you're doing one day, for sure definitely get the Cool Japan pass for that day. Also, the other big attractions on weekdays tend to be fairly easy to line up for normally. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]shrewdster 1 point 2 days ago  You can buy express pass and tickets at the gate. permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 1 point 2 days ago  Actually, Express Passes can sell out, and often do, since they have the Harry Potter rides attached to them. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]shrewdster 1 point 2 days ago  Well get there early like I did! lol permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 1 point 2 days ago  I pre-bought mine, I when we got there, about ten minutes after the park opened, they were sold out already. You might have just gotten lucky that day. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]Meganebashi 1 point 1 day ago  Yeah, I thought that too. Showed up at opening time, and they were all gone. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]shrewdster 1 point 1 day ago  Guess I got lucky... I got there at 11:00 as well. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]starryeyed_lady 1 point 2 days ago  So can you get into Harry potter with a regular ticket or should you get an express pass so you'll be sure? permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 1 point 1 day ago  You can, as long as you get the timed entry ticket, but you'll have to wait in the regular line for the rides, and when I was there, the shortest the line for Forbidden Journey was 2 hrs. and the most was at almost 4 hrs. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]starryeyed_lady 1 point 1 day ago  Ok ticket+express pack it is! I'll only be there one day, who wants to wait in lines? permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 1 point 1 day ago  This is very true! Though, for the Forbidden Journey, you move through the castle very quickly, so once I got out, I went through the Castle Walk tour. We did two days, and had Express Passes for both days, and that gave us lots of time on the second for just shopping. XP permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]BlackMagic27 1 point 1 day ago  I'm also heading to Japan in Feb and going to USJ! Just to clarify, it's best to buy a ticket (which includes entry to Wizarding World of Harry Potter?), a timed entry (free?), and an express pass? Anyone from Australia know the best place to buy one beforehand? (cheapest ideally!) permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]rainbow_city 1 point 1 day ago  The general park pass include Wizarding World, if you get an Express Pass (the 5 or 7) it has the timed entry included, if you don't get an Express Pass, you have to get a separate timed entry ticket. If you want to go on the rides inside Wizarding World, I recommend getting an Express Pass because even on weekdays the line is incredibly long. If you know Japanese, you might be able to pre-purchase the tickets through USJ's Japanese website. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply

Heading to Japan and actually have Universal Studios planned for the beginning of April. Is there any site available for the UK? As I can see the English site only links agencies from Thailand, Malaysia etc for advance tix.
