No, I don't think that I'm jumping into assumptions about the person I speak of . As the quote goes "people can only meet you as deeply as they have met themselves." People tend to view others on 2 different levels. Surface and Personal. When you know so little about someone, it's easier to jump into conclusions about their character and personality. And when you carry an insecure/victim complex, it's much easier to view others as a demon than to recognise your own demons and fight them alone and not through someone else. It's not a game of chess to decipher the person you're speaking to and how they feel about you and growing up in a small town with traditional minded people isn't cream and honey.
