UPDATE: The driver that blocked the Ambulance got arrested, fined $245 and is not allowed to leave the country until further notice (Turkish).

Not sure whether i should upvote or downvote your comment. I m a journalist working in Turkey myself and I am pretty satisfied with how I am. Tho I do get your point seeing the media coverage about Turkey being mostly about locked up journalists. F.y.i. We do not consider most of the journalists being locked up in Turkey as journalists ourselves. The stuff they wrote was outrageous and more about instigating the public rather than being informative. In other cases they published state secrets which is illegal in any country (remember how snowden had to flee the US).

Just because we have a job that is about writing our opinions and keep the public informed it does not mean we can do and write everything we want. Pretty sure people in the west would disagree with me but from my cultural perspective that is how we see things.
