Vegetarian parents - feelings on feeding your baby meat?

You aren't forcing a diet onto your kid. If you were, we should be applying this same logic to meat eaters, as some cultures are primarily vegan/vegetarian. I'm vegan and will be raising my child vegan too (I'm still pregnant, got two weeks left). They will be free to eat meat when they are old enough to make those choices for themselves, but I won't be buying it for home or at restaurants and won't have it in my house. If they have money and want to go eat a burger I can't and won't stop them, but I want to try and instill those values into my kiddo when they are young as it will be much harder for them to go vegan in the future if they've been fed meat their whole lives.
