Great post. I’ve never seen any other industry infested at such a high rate with the most arrogant, domineering, insecure, and narcissistic people as the medical field. They’re wrong a lot of the fucking time, but if you point that out, or even suggest an alternative to their explanation, their gigantic ego crumbles like a house of cards and they get condescending at best, vicious at worst. I believe this deity dogma they’re taught of themselves means, by extension, they’re taught to resent their patients and think we’re all idiots. And this gives them a lot of benefit of the doubt. I’m being kind by presuming they are not psychopaths who took this job to intentionally hurt people and get paid handsomely for it
