Vladimir Putin Is Using KGB Tactics In Crimea, Warns Lithuania

There is one thing 95% of these threads ignore ( or at least, it's almost impossible to see this at the top). When Europeans, Americans, and other people completely ignore what the people of Crimea actually say, it's really no surprise people are becoming more skeptical of the US and western "righteousness "

I mean , there's no great mystery here. The Crimean people wanted something, the Russians wanted the same thing and the west wants something else. The "west" ( and i'm using this term loosely ) can't blame the people of Crimea, so they blame Russia for their own gain and punish the Russian people. It's just simple game theory and realpolitik, same shit really...and most redditors ( and westerners) are falling for it.

it takes about 5 minutes to solve all of this controversy... read this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_status_referendum,_2014#Choices

Let me TL;DR this for you:

Who made the poll: 1)The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is an independent agency of the United States government. 2)Gallup, Inc. is an American research-based, global performance-management consulting company 3) The Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan American think tank which is based in Washington, D.C 4) "Ukrainian branch of Germany's biggest market research organization"

What where the results 1)83% thought the poll reflected the view of the people ( 30 % of Ukrainians felt the same way) 2)82.8% thought the poll reflected the view of the people 3)91% thought the results where free and fair and 88% thought Kyiv ought to recognize the results of the vote 4)Eighty-two percent of those polled said they fully supported Crimea's inclusion in Russia, and another 11 percent expressed partial support. Only 4 percent spoke out against it

It is impossible for those polls to lie. No matter how powerful Putin is, he can't get those numbers. Your only bet is blaming the companies as some sort of conspiracy...but considering the results go against US interests, that's also bullshit...so these results must be ignored.

I just find it sickening...you parrot "democracy" all day long yet you don't give a shit about it. Here you are, sitting in front of your computer, hundreds or thousands of kilometres away, completely ignoring democracy for your own gain all the while punishing the Russian (and by extension Crimean ) people.

When it comes to Crimea, reddit is absolutely disgusting.
