The waitress all but slapped the food out of my moms hands

A few years ago I went out to dinner with my music instructor and her daughter (I became best friends with both of them really quickly, and I babysat the daughter regularly). Both the she and her daughter are allergic to gluten, and the daughter was an extremely picky eater. I remember my music instructor saying “Can she get the chicken fingers grilled? She doesn’t eat gluten.” (Poor choice of words on her part) The waitress gave a sneer and said nothing while writing it down. I remember having to help calm down the daughter whilst she cried as her mother (quietly) tore into the waitress when she came out with breaded chicken fingers. Never going back to that restaurant. (The food wasn’t even mediocre).
