Another thing that should be very obvious to everyone: DE effectively promoted viewbotting to artificially drive up the view counts in Twitch. It was no longer about content at all.

I was actually watching a livestream and someone was giving out codes to people in chat who were active. Turns out two of the people chosen in a row were actually just bots who were posting a singular channel-specific bot code (I think it was to bring up the streamers youtube account).

It honestly has to suck for those streamers; i'm willing to bet that their viewer count is going to get a small permanent boost (as maybe the people who were watching the stream liked the stream enough to stick around past the twitch drops) but they aren't going to see nearly as many people as they were pulling in for the twitch-enabled drops.
